Where History Greets You at the Door

Welcome to Reynolds Tavern, one of the finest examples of Georgian architecture in Annapolis, Maryland. Situated in a prominent position on Church Circle, Reynolds Tavern is conveniently located in the center of the Historic District’s shops, restaurants, theaters, galleries, and the United States Naval Academy.

The building has been restored beautifully to reflect the working nature of the tavern and the elegance of the 18th Century. Reynolds Tavern is the oldest tavern in Annapolis, and one of the oldest in the United States.

We have three rooms; all en-suite and luxuriously appointed, which offer a unique atmosphere just steps away from the Capital Building.

Whatever your tastes, Reynolds Tavern has something to offer you. Reynolds Tavern serves a full lunch menu, English afternoon tea, and dinner. In the spring, summer and early fall, we offer casual, alfresco dining in our courtyard. The cellar pub in the Tavern’s original kitchen gives you a flavor of the Tavern’s rich history.

My wife and I just returned from a wonderful weekend at Reynolds Tavern. Upon arrival we met owners Wes and Marylynne. They were so nice and accommodating. Our room ( Mary Reynolds) was spotless clean and was very comfortable. We felt special staying there being there is only three rooms. We were blown away with how great the food in particular the bar was. We really didn't think the bar was going to be as cool and as fun as it was. We actually hung there more than any other place in town. The staff was fabulous! Justin and Chelsy were great! They constantly checked on us and kept the drinks and food coming. They also had first rate entertainment in the cozy bar. It was great feeling like you weren't overcrowded and stuffed into a mob scene. The bonus was being able to walk upstairs at the end of the night! The breakfast was great and again intimate for guests only. We can't wait to return when the patio is open! Reynolds Tavern is a special place that more than pleasantly surprised us!

Amazing location and service! My wife and I stayed the weekend in the Mary Reynolds one bedroom. The room had a historic vibe befitting of the old building. It was small but big enough to freshen up in. The windows overlook the pub patio but no problem with noise because they were soundproofed. The TV was small but still in HD and you don't stay here for the TV. Wes and Marilyn were such kind hosts. The served us delicious breakfast off of a fixed menu. Throughout our stay they would make sure we had everything we needed and chatted with us as we exited and entered the tavern. But they were not overbearing. I would highly recommend staying here!

What a gem! This place is very special. It's so quaint and just had a lovely spirit about it. The staff were so nice and personable. They made you feel at home. You wouldn't find that in a big chain hotel. The food was amazing!! After being in the heat all day sightseeing, it was great to get away from the outside hussle and actually have homemade food. What a fabulous experience. We had never stayed at a B&B before so we weren't expecting too much but this was so fun! Thank you to the Reynolds Tavern!

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The filet melted in your mouth, the salmon is fabulous. A complimentary chocolate tort with happy anniversary written in chocolate on the plate from the manager. Highly recommend, deeply appreciated.

Our family was so impressed by the hospitality at the Reynolds Tavern. Upon our arrival were were greeted with warmth and kindness which persisted throughout our stay. The guest room was appropriately appointed, very comfortable, and clean. Dinner in the pub hit-the-spot and reasonably priced (with Trivia Night for entertainment). Breakfast was timely and so delicious. We left wishing that we could stay longer. Thank you to the owners and staff of Reynolds Tavern for creating a wonderful experience in the heart of Annapolis.

I had the most extraordinary time visiting Reynolds Tavern. I sincerely wished I had stayed here. I came afternoon tea and enjoyed it so much that I returned everyday for the complete afternoon tea service and an evening of Shakespeare abridged. The tea service was elegant and wonderful, the wait staff was attentive and the food was delicious. I will come back again. Sylvia Pace

My husband and I stayed in the Washington Suite, Wes, the Inn Keeper could not have been more friendly and hospitable, we immediately felt at home. Dinner was outstanding from the Our Fathers Bacon Mac to the Fried Chicken and Steak Frites. Yummm! Breakfast the next morning was just as delicious (pure gustatory joy), New Orleans French Toast! The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. We will definitely come back!!

I've never had a traditional afternoon tea before, so before I left the city I tried their Sweet Tea, which was a pot of tea (I chose PG Tips), a scone served with jam and cream, and a plate of tea cakes. It was tremendous.

The colonial high tea was amazing! The cream of crab soup is delicious, and the tea and all the sweet and savory pastries were great. Our server was very nice and attentive. Will definitely go again!
